After breakfast, drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate, where you will meet your team of guides and porters. After completing the necessary registration formalities, you will start the trek through the dense rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp, where you will spend the night.
Today’s trek takes you through the heather and moorland zone, with stunning views of the Shira Plateau. You will pass through the Cathedral Forest before arriving at Shira 1 Camp, where you will spend the night.
Today’s trek takes you to the east side of the mountain, through the semi-desert landscape. You will have a great view of the Kibo volcano as you make your way to Moir Hut Camp, where you will spend the night.
Today’s trek takes you through the high desert, where you will see the unique flora and fauna of this area. You will have a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding landscape as you make your way to Buffalo Camp, where you will spend the night.
Today’s trek takes you through the alpine desert, where you will have stunning views of the mountain as well as the valley below. You will pass through Lava Tower before arriving at Third Cave Camp, where you will spend the night.
Today’s trek takes you through the rocky landscape, as you make your way to the base of the Kibo volcano. You will arrive at School Hut Camp, where you will spend the night and prepare for the summit attempt.
Today is the summit day, where you will start the trek at midnight. You will climb for several hours through the scree and ice, to reach the summit of Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. You will then descend to Mweka Camp, where you will spend the night.
Today is the final day of the trek. You will descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you will be awarded a certificate for completing the climb. You will then drive back to Moshi for a celebratory dinner and overnight stay.
