Upon arrival at Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport, you will meet your Burigi Chato Safaris guide, who will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi Tanzania. We recommend the budget-friendly Kilimanjaro White House Hotel. Settle into your accommodation, relax, and enjoy the African atmosphere, ready to start your 9-day Kilimanjaro hiking tour via Lemosho route (with overnight in the crater on day seven) the next day.
After breakfast, drive to the Londorossi Gate and register for the trek. Drive to Lemosho Glades and begin your hike through the forest to Mti Mkubwa, where you will set up camp for the night.
Today's hike takes you through the heath and moorland zone to Shira 1 camp, where you will enjoy stunning views of the mountain and the surrounding landscape.
You will trek through the high altitude desert terrain to Moir Hut, which provides spectacular views of the mountain and the nearby Lent Hills.
Today's hike takes you through the alpine desert zone and across several ridges to Pofu Camp, which is located in a valley surrounded by stunning scenery.
Today, you will trek through the barren high altitude desert to Third Cave Camp, where you will set up camp for the night.
You will climb up to School Hut, located at the base of the summit, where you will rest and prepare for your summit attempt.
Your summit attempt begins at midnight, and you will climb through the night to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Enjoy the stunning sunrise from the top before descending to Barafu Camp.
Today, you will hike to Crater Camp, located in the caldera of Kilimanjaro, which offers spectacular views and a unique camping experience.
After breakfast, descend to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your certificate for completing the trek. Transfer back to Moshi for a celebratory dinner and overnight stay.
