Most memorable kilimanjaro Tour
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You'll be met by a representative of Dakado Adventures who will transfer you to your hotel for a pre-hike briefing and gear check.
Begin your hike at the Machame Gate, where you'll complete registration and meet your guide and porters. Hike through the rainforest and climb up to Machame Camp, where you'll spend the night.
After breakfast, hike through the heather and moorland zone to Shira Camp. On this day, you'll get your first glimpse of Kilimanjaro's stunning views.
Today's trek takes you up to Lava Tower, a rock formation that rises to over 15,000 feet. From here, you'll descend to Barranco Camp, which is nestled in a valley below the imposing Barranco Wall.
After breakfast, you will climb up the Barranco Wall and hike across ridges and valleys to reach Karanga Valley Camp for lunch. After lunch, you will continue up to Kosovo Camp for overnight accommodation. You will have some time to rest and acclimatize before dinner and retiring for the night.
After a midnight wake-up call, you will have a light breakfast and begin the climb to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. The climb will take approximately 6-8 hours, and you will arrive at Uhuru Peak in time to witness the sunrise. You will then descend to Mweka Camp for overnight accommodation. You will have some time to rest, explore the area and enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.
On the final day of your tour, hike down through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you'll be met by a representative of Dakado Adventures. You'll receive a certificate for your accomplishment before being transferred back to Moshi for a celebratory dinner and a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
